Obituary HAMOVITCH, David. Peacefully and with dignity, on Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at the Jewish General Hospital. Dave was a loving and generous husband to the late Sylvia, father and father-in-law of Ellen, Bram and Terry. Devoted grandpa of Jesse and Sue, Sarah and Bean, and Robbie. He was a thrilled great-grandpa of Arielle. Loving companion to Miriam, and dear brother and brother-in-law of Sylvia and the late Natie Messer, Sam and Evelyn, the late Maurie and the late Rita, the late Bill and the late Mitzi, brother-in-law of Hanna, the late Sam Tompkins, and the late Moishe and the late Anita Tompkins. He will be sadly missed by Barbara Blumberg, his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Jewish General Hospital and of the Montreal General Hospital, especially Dr. Segal, Dr. Michel, Dr. Keller, Dr. Afif and Scott for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, December 31 at 10:45 a.m. Burial at the field of Remembrance Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva will be at Dave's house, Friday through Sunday evening. Donations in honour of Dave may be made to Project Genesis, (514) 738-2036, where Dave worked as a dedicated volunteer for many years.
