The Jewish Genealogical Society in no way recommends that online shopping at Amazon.ca or Amazon.com is right for you. You need to make that decision yourself.

However, many of our members and their families have found that:

Amazon.ca is a great source for books CDs, DVDs and more recently software and computer accessories. Prices are usually competitive and if you plan your orders, shipping is free in Canada for most things.
Amazon.com is a great source for books, CDs, DVDs, electronics of all sorts, cameras, kitchen appliances, tools and much more. Prices tend to be very good and shipping to the US is often free. Not all items can be shipped to Canada, and if allowed, shipping costs can range from very low to outrageously high – check carefully. Duty and GST may be applied on arrival in Canada.
Amazon.com is a GREAT source of reviews of products of all sorts, regardless of where you plan to buy them.
Amazon Gift Cards and Certificates are appreciated by most people. This is particularly true in the US where they carry such a wide range of products.
